Serial Adapters

Serial adapters provide either a DB-9 port or a terminal block connection for RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication signals. The integration of USB with serial adapters gives the user flexibility in receiving data and the distance over which that data travels. Serial adapters are supplied in many forms constructed with molded jackets, industrial metal chassis, or plastic shells. From one to sixteen ports, serial adapters are used widely with stenographers (steno machines), bar code scanners, ATM's and other equipment for communication.
